Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American model and singer. She is also a co-star in Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain. Most famously, she is known for her role in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain as well as singing lead in Apollonia 6, a girl group. Apollonia, a singer/actress born to Prince in 1984, became one of the female musicians of the 80s that benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero began her acting and modeling career in Santa Monica California, in the latter half of the '70s. This included an appearance on CHiPS. Apollonia made her debut album in 1988. However, her comparatively tame collection of songs that incorporated dance/R&B did not make much impression on people who buy music and it soon disappeared from sight. Apollonia remained in the spotlight (if somewhat under the radar) as an actress in the decade that followed, with a few film roles on television and even issued an exercise video. Apollonia made a record in English and Spanish entitled Stay with me in 1997. After returning to school, she, received a diploma in making films. Then she founded her company and worked in children's TV. Apollonia has many hats. She's worked as a model, singer-actress and talent manager. She is renowned for her role in the movie Purple Rain. Other films and shows that she appeared in include Black Magic Woman and The Divorce Ceremony. Kotero debuted her career as a model. She's been involved in a variety of contests and pageants.
